September Exploration

September

Students loved having the dress-up clothes becoming available!  What careers interest us the most?
Students are scientists!  We love the scales, magnifiying glasses and test tubs!
What did we discover under the microscope?
Students love the fall sensory bucket.  Can we use the tweezers to dig out the leaves?  We use or five senses with the provocation.

Learning how to partner read and talk about books.
 Turn and talk...
 Lean and talk...
Deciding who reads first? paper, rock, scissors
Read the whole time....
Students document what they are learning from their reading.

Students LOVE reading the alphabet using punctuation!

Students LOVED the book, Not a Stick. We found sticks outside in our learning environment.  Then we used our creativity and designed our own pictures.  Later in the day, we painted patterns on the left over sticks we found outside.  These are now in a vase to make our classroom more beautiful!

Students used a stick to create bead chimes!
