A HUGE thank you to Jason Schoeff and his crew at B&W Construction. T
hey did a FABULOUS job designing, constructing,
and building the outdoor structures for our kindergarten students.
The materials being delivered.
First, drilling the holes for the ant farm.
Is it level?
The plexiglass being installed!
" I liked watching them use the hammer and
asking them questions and why they needed the hammer for the wood."- Sam
The wood stumps were old ones from our classrooms
used to help build the balance beam.
Sanding the structures is a must to avoid splinters.
Just a fun little break...
We kept the guys happy by delivering them donuts, water, and pizza
throughout the day! All of the students wanted to be helpful and be the ones to take
the guys "orders" and delivery the materials.
We enjoyed documenting our learning through sketches and I wonder papers.
The crew!
The finished pieces!
walking bridge
balance beam
tire stand
climbing wall
We LOVE being outside. Not only are we playing, but we are doing
academic work and tying in our state standards!
"My favorite is the tire stand! It is fun to sit and look from the top."-Abby
"I like the balance beam, it's like gymnastics!"-Molly
"I love going up the wall, it is hard to get over it!"- Marlie
