March provocations

What do you do on a beautiful day? We write weather reports outside
and enjoy some reading time under the trees!

We got a new tree stump in our room.
Our curiosity sparked interest as we researched about the rings of a tree.

There is also a new Bromeliad plant that we
are making observational drawings of our learning.

March 10th... A Rainy Day
We shared the story.  We also noticed there were lots of words
with the -ai sound that we have been learning.

We were artists!  We painted a rain and rainbow
scene while listening to relaxing music.

After letting the pictures dry, we each wrote
at least three sentences about our pictures.

Spring  sensory exploration ...

Can you string a rainbow?

Can you sketch a nest,  manipulate birdseed Play-Doh,
and observe the nest brought in from a student?

 March 23...
We have been following this link of bald eagles.
Their nicknames are, Mr. President and First Lady because
they have their nest and babies in a tulip tree by the White House in Washington, D. C.

We came to school this morning and noticed that our tree now has buds on it!

We made some observational drawings and "I see, I think, I wonder papers."

Making our observations of nature on our new tree logs.
