Spring Gardens Part One

Outdoor Learning Environment
Students from HSE FFA came to be
experts and help our kindergarten students.

We shared our favorite fruits and vegetables.
We brainstormed food that would be beneficial
and appropriate to plant in our garden beds.

We sketched our ideas.
We talked about what we need to have a successful garden.

We all have been given jobs to help prep the beds
and get them ready for plantings next week.

A walking field trip to HSE FFA!  We learned about a
green houses and a variety of plants and herbs.

The famous, Mr. Younts, transformed into the corn man
and passed out treats to our students!

Painting pallets to create vertical gardens.

What can you observe and notice in
one small square of your backyard?
I wonder if we can have science journals
and document our findings from our own houses and yards?

Planting bulbs
"The bulbs must have the roots pointed down and spread apart 4-6 inches."- Dillon

"We found insects in our squares!  Can we bring them out to recess?"- Abby
